The President Speaks

Bombs Away!

Marco Pinto had a dream. In it, he saw showers of eggs dropping from the sky like silver dollars tumbling from a jackpot payoff.

To realize his dream, Marco announced a contest at the May PCC meeting. He challenged members to build perfect egg dropping machines for their airplanes.

Deadline: the June 20 PCC meeting. Field test: Sunday, June 24 at the PCC field.

Four inventive guys showed their designs at the meeting, and all four showed up at the airfield for real-world trials.

The finalists: Jake Chichilitti, Dennis Lowry, Eric Einarssen and Ken Martinez. Dennis and Ken designed three-shooters. Jake’s and Eric’s were single-shots.

The day was perfect: sunny, light wind, blue sky and sea, 70 degrees. A crowd of a dozen or so PCC members and friends showed up to watch the contest.

Who won?

At the end, Marco made a speech thanking all four for their eunthusiastic response to his challenge. He then passed out awards: People’s Choice, Most Accurate…

To tell the ruth, we might have dozed off during the awards ceremony, but it really seemd like everyone won.

At the end of his speech, Marco promised future events with more egg drops and more varied rules.

We can hardly wait!

Dennis and his wife, Pat, brought a great picnic lunch, including barbecued hamburgers, fried chicken, homemade potato salad and watermelon for dessert.
